The exciting event “Wheels in the Woods – mt. Vermio” that took place on 30 and 31 March in the beautiful area of Vermio, has been completed, leaving behind unforgettable moments and warm impressions that will keep us company until the next meeting.
Around forty motorcycles with their riders from every corner of Greece gathered in Veria, full of enthusiasm to explore the hidden charms of Vermio through paths that offer magnificent views, and to spend the night in the area of Prionia, in the forest reserve of ASDD Seli. This experience rewarded us for the fatigue of the demanding routes, offering unique moments to all participants, with food and drinks around the fire, where there was no shortage of banter, laughter and moto-stories.
We would like to thank the president, George Pitoulias, as well as the board of ASDD Seli for the concession of the space and support, the Stergios Kriaras, who took part in the route and offered us the now classic rice pudding for breakfast, the Franzis bakery for the pies that became a hit, the Vassilis Theodoridis and Panagiotis Anastasiadis who took over to feed us the night before, the Roman Filiev from Cloudwhale and Kostas Krypa Kostas together with Alexandros Iakovidis for covering the whole event with video and photos, even on the most difficult paths, the Stavros Homatas, who followed the route with his GS, while on Sunday morning, he surprised us with the cups of Greek coffee he had prepared for us as a gift, the Konstantinos Kouthouris, for his valuable help with his vehicle, which transported all the equipment of the riders on the mountain and his presence on the route with the Yamaha YZF Banshee 350 that stole the show, the Dimitris Filis who in his tough Toyota Land Cruiser, as it turned out, followed the whole route offering help whenever needed and all of you who took part either driving or offering help wherever needed, as well as Dimitris Papazisis and Eugenia for his support throughout the event.
To those we forget to mention we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, your presence and contribution is invaluable and indispensable in every step and moment we share. Without you, none of what we have experienced would have come true.
With our minds now on the next Wheels in the Woods, this time on a different mountain, we can only thank you again one by one.
